The University of Utah Alzheimer's Image Analysis Laboratory (AIAL), directed by Richard D. King, MD, PhD, was established in September 2009. AIAL is affiliated with the Center for Alzheimer’s Care, Imaging and Research (CACIR).

AIAL conducts translation scientific research to develop novel neuroimaging biomarkers and associated software for neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's Disease.
